Insurance

Cover for the home, the people in it, and the rent it earns

Home insurance

Your home is likely to be your most valuable asset, so the cover on it deserves more than a price comparison.

  • Fire, flood, storm and escape of water
  • Theft and attempted theft
  • Subsidence, heave and landslip
About home insurance

Landlord insurance

A standard home policy may not respond when a tenant is living in the property. Landlord insurance is written for the risks of letting.

  • Fire, flood, storm, escape of water and subsidence
  • Malicious damage by tenants
  • Loss of rent while the property cannot be let
About landlord insurance

Life and protection

Think about what your family would need to keep their standard of living if you were not there, or could not work. Protection is how you put that in place.

  • A lump sum on death during the policy term
  • A lump sum on diagnosis of a listed critical illness
  • A monthly income, typically fifty to seventy per cent of earnings, while you cannot work

Home cover

Add-ons that keep the house running

Each of these attaches to a home or landlord policy arranged through us: one insurer, one renewal, one helpline.

How it works

Four steps, one adviser, no chasing on your part

  1. Tell us about you

A call of around thirty minutes about your plans, income and timescale. No forms yet and no credit search.

  2. We compare the market

We approach lenders and insurers on your behalf and come back with clear recommendations and the reasons behind them.

  3. You choose, we apply

Once you decide, we prepare and submit everything and chase the lender, the valuer and your solicitor for you.

  4. Keys, with cover in place

Your offer arrives, the home and the people in it are protected, and you have one person to call. Usually within one working day of first contact for the first step.

Good to know

Questions people ask

Does the first conversation cost anything?

No. The first call is free and there is no obligation. Our broker fee, from £495, only applies if you go ahead with a mortgage we arrange, and we agree the exact figure with you before that.

Are you independent?

WeSure is an appointed representative of Beneficial Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We are not tied to one lender or insurer: we search a wide panel on your behalf and tell you why we recommend what we recommend.

Can you help if I have been turned down elsewhere?

Often, yes. Being declined by one lender does not mean every lender will say no; criteria vary widely on income type, credit history and property. Tell us what happened and we will say honestly whether we think we can help.

How quickly can I get an agreement in principle?

Usually within a day or two of the first call, once we have your details. It shows estate agents you are serious and it does not commit you to anything.

Tell us what you are looking for and we will come back within one working day

A short form, no obligation, and nothing is applied for until you say so.
